Here are some pictures from our wonderful Arts week. We took part in a workshop, created dance pieces, doodle sessions and much more. It was so much fun!

On Friday 14th June, we went and had a wonderful visit to Manchester Museum. We had a fantastic time and loved looking at all the different artefacts, it was great to see lots of them linked to our topic learning this year. Miss Priestley and Miss Pickles were very proud of us and how well we represented our school. Here are some pictures of our day out.

Here are some of our wonderful children who have been working hard on TT rockstars, learning their timetables and becoming fluent.

Today we kicked off antibullying week with ‘odd socks day’. We all wore odd socks to celebrate how we are all different and unique. We had a special assembly, learnt the song ‘This is Me’, completed drama and made beautiful posters.

Today we took part in ‘Positive noticing day’. We filled in a leaf certificate for our peers to make them feel special.

During our DT lessons this half term we have been designing and making our own lamps using recycled materials.

Today we have been exploring how we can look after our mental health. We spoke about how it is just as important to look after our mental health as it is to look after our physical health. Take a look at some of the wonderful wellbeing activities we have been doing today!

VIKING DAY - 28.9.23

Today we were visited by a Viking!

The day began with an invasion in the classroom before being shown viking weapons, armour and clothes. We also learnt about viking gods, stories, games and ended with a traditional viking funeral.

We have had lots of fun on the indoor climbing frame during our brain breaks. We have been working hard on our gross motor skills, building resilience and also supporting our friends.

In history we have been learning all about timelines and placing different events from overtime in the right place looking specifically at the Vikings.

To start our new book ‘Cloudland’ we lay on the grass looking at the beautiful clouds and coming up with some adjectives and noun phrases to describe the clouds.

We love to practice our happy breathing techniques during our ‘MyHappyMind’ sessions.
