WATERFOOT BADGE SCHEME
Children of any age can earn and collect different Waterfoot badges by doing things they enjoy, by learning a new skill or by participating in local community events. They can collect a maximum of two badge leaflets at a time from the school main reception area, to bring home to complete at their own leisure! The badges available range from sports to animal lovers to computing to cookery badges and many more - there is something for every age and interest. Badges also have different levels to achieve, which increase in difficulty, beginning at level 1 up to a possible level 3 badge. The badge scheme encourages children to work with their parents or carers, helps broaden their experiences in both curriculum subjects and wider areas and highlights their talents and skills. Children elect to work towards a particular badge and on completion of a badge they have their efforts or creations checked by an appropriate subject leader in school. Following this, they then receive their special badge in our whole school celebration assembly. Children can aim to collect badges throughout the year and their Waterfoot school life.
