GEOGRAPHY CURRICULUM

At Waterfoot Primary School we believe the study of geography helps children to learn about their immediate surroundings, the broader world and how the environment can affect their lives and determine decision-making. A high-quality geography education helps to develop a sense of identity and promotes responsible citizenship. Teaching should equip children to ask perceptive questions, think critically and weigh up evidence – enabling pupils to develop perspective and judgement. Our whole school aim is to develop a love of geography and a sense of awe of the world around them.
